What to Expect As A New Patient

Looking for “acupuncture near me?” Considering joining Shasta Acupuncture in Klamath Falls as a new patient. Here is some general information about how our clinic works and what an initial visit is like.

All new patients fill out new patient paperwork (download here). Once that is complete, our friendly office staff will schedule you for your first appointment. Please note: Bring the filled-out form to our office or email it to frontdesk@shastaacu.com before your first appointment.

We ask that you wear or bring loose-fitting clothing, as this make evaluation, stretching, and treatment more comfortable. You will not need to disrobe to receive treatment. We also ask that patients come to the clinic 15 minutes before their initial treatment so that they have time to sign any remaining paper work.

On your first visit, our practitioner will go through your health history, listen to your health concerns, create an effective treatment plan, and provide a treatment. Treatment can include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine (patent or custom formulas), cupping therapy, or other modalities if your particular complaint requires it.

After the initial visit and the creation of a treatment plan based on your individual health needs and goals, the front desk staff can coordinate scheduling any followup appointments. There are discounts available if you choose to buy a package, please inquire about current offers at checkout.

Follow up treatments are generally scheduled for 45 minutes. You and your provider will review improvements and changes from the previous treatment and continue with acupuncture and/or other modalities.
